Comments from Artist's Way group Summer 2006:

Kamala Devi is one of the most dynamic enlightened group teachers and facilitators that I have had the privilege of working with. She is a beacon of truth, knowledge, wisdom and insight. Ariel Anastasia White (Shamanic Healer)

I recommend this opportunity for anyone who wants to be a more confident creator, a more grounded person or just open to experience the human journey with a whole bunch of extra support and love.  Renee Airya

The book alone did not produce the results--Your guidance, commitment, authenticity and experience made the Artists Way is far more than a class, but a journey in growth, awareness and love.  Larry Michael

My investment in the Artist way was paid back many fold.  I have achieved advances in my community, my romance has blossomed and my creativity has surfaced. Thank you Kamala Devi.   Paul Vild

Kamala's guidance, inspiration and total passion for coaching helped lead me to deeper self acceptance and a broader capacity to love and create.  Tracey Lontos

After completing the Artist Way, I wake up each day full of excitement and ideas.  My connections with myself and the world are all more meaningful. Thank you Kamala.  Jade Lotus

What I got out of this class is regular consistent attention, nurturing my creative higher self. The result is more joy, flow and abundance in my life.  Kimberly Anne Schultz

Love flows in Kamala Devi's class and solid communities form in the aftermath. The degree of sharing and caring is incredible and during the journey your inner demons are confronted and subjugated.  Denny Braun, Ph.D.

I wouldn't hesitate to come to future classes with Kamala Devi, she consistently provides creative insights, suggestions and unwavering presence.  Jeff

Comments from Artist's Way group Fall 2004:

When I look back, I see myself timid and fearful.  But now I am allowing
myself to feel more deeply, express without much hesitation.  I got my faith
and trust in the universe back.  I am free and will be.  Thank you Kamala
and all artists in the class for the enormous support and the sacred space
we created together.
Keiko Lopez (Owner of Lily Pad Store & Artistic Producer)

The Artist's Way gave me a way to find my artist self.  Kamala guided the
process so it was an exciting unfoldment of unrealized dreams.  I am
connected with a direction, a passion and an excitement as I move into my
artist identity. Thank you Kamala for bringing my artist to life.
Kirin
Khalsa (Kundalini Yoga & Tantra Teacher)

Kamala Devi is a master at creating and holding the space.  Each on of us
deepened our listening skills and our own self knowledge through this
process.  At times it was turmoltuous and emotional but always clearly safe.
Tracy Ellen Godek (Nia Dance & Feldenkreis Instructor)

The process helped me let go of a job that was draining my energy.  I was
able to see my goal as a child, to travel and am on my way to a 2&1/2 month
travel through south Mexico and Central America.  I am traveling alone.  I
will continue with my morning pages and will be writing more poetry.  I
highly recommend this course with Kamala with all my heart.
Lourdes Paulman
(Tantra Practitioner & World Traveler)

When I first came to TAW  was a bit intimidated by the caliber of people and
their bios.  Through the 12 weeks I have seen the inner challenges and fears
that each of these powerful and intelligent people have, and realized they
have the same fears as I do.  They have seen mine and I no longer feel like
an outsider.  I feel that God put me on this earth to accomplish what I do
and there is no need to compare myself with others as we are such unique,
beautiful, loving souls from so many different roads that it really is
beyond belief... You have given me the opportunity to be quiet and listen to
my God-voice.
Susan Haymaker (Tai Chi & Qi Gong teacher)

Thank you, Kamala, for creating such a safe space to explore, connect, and
grow. The Artist¹s Way has truly helped me gain a better understanding of
myself and others, has accelerated my personal growth, and given me insight
and tools for continuing on path towards self-expression and serenity.
Mariette Pan (Editor & Entrepreneur)

<<----- Water Color Entitled: Orcas by Jean Frazier  " I have spent a lot of time making excuses why I can't create: I don't have time, I can't afford it, I have no talent, and (my personal favorite) people will not like my work.  I create now for me, and have so much creative abundance since I started the Artist's Way. Kamala magically weaves exercises and insights that guide you gracefully through this creative process.  Her mastery at listening and teaching is something to savor deeply.  Jean Frazier  (Nurse & Dula)

Comments from Artist's Way group Spring 2003:

"The weekly meeting with a group of women, all on a similar journey of growth and unfoldment. I loved that we laughed, we cried, and we held sacred space for each other. I felt nurtured from our group, even in my dark moments where I couldn¹t nurture myself. I wouldn¹t have grown and gone so deep inside on my own journey without the loving hearts of our artist way group" Tracy Liebel (Resident Monk at Madre Grande)

"All of my life is impacted. I've opened the doorway into more fully expressing all parts of me and more creatively offering to the world. Kamala...you are a natural wise leader...who provides a safe space for people to BE themselves. you also are really good with setting the tone and boundaries...which i really admire and appreciate. The meetings I attended never got too heavy..and were more about TAKING action. I applaud your natural gift...thank you." Jenny Ward (Author & Speaker)

"Kamala is a highly skilled facilitator.  She creates a supportive climate for open sharing and dialogue and includes reflecting on her own processes as a way of enhancing our own experiences. She masterfully... supports our process where ever we're at, creates emotional resonance, and gently challenges us to stretch ourselves creatively." Dr. Carol Boyce (Consultant & Coach)

"Sometimes having insight into other people's dilemmas helps clear the mud in your own situations. Also, if you're willing to be introspective and totally honest with yourself it gives you honest answers. If you are lying to yourself, then you will learn that you have been lying to yourself and the truth will prevail." Robin Dorhn-Simpson (Professional Scrapbook Artist & Travel Writer)

"My favorite part was the growth and openings that came as I engaged in it, the self discovery my least favorite part was a bittersweet feeling of seeing myself REALLY and the sweetness of accepting myself as I went through it I am so looking forward to next time!" Eti Domb (Accupuncturist & Painter

Poetry Entitled: "Time " by Lori Williamson:

Not enough time...
Away it crawls, marches,soars
Off into the beyond
My head hurts, my heart bursts
Useless, formless, unreachable dreams

Stinging like a torrent of shimmering needles
Sparkling sharp hailstones, like arrows falling, falling
My universe and I race blindly over that cliff
Amidst the vastness of eternity
Eons calling to me from afar
Come...come with me
Through the pressing stifling darkness
Into a warmth unknown to mankind
Unknown to the sisters of yore...
Blessed, holy
Touch-less, tasteless...
Come into my hart, my hearth, my loving home
I shall warm your soul with my embers
Fufill your longings
And with one powerful yet kind caress
Spin you around
out into the brightness of day
To aid all those whose hearts once cried out
Like your own.

Go now and quiet that crazy storm
For "time" is
Irrelevant.

I walked in with some vague notion of wanting to include art in my life and I walked out a writer.  I walked into a group of strangers feeling lonely and I walked out with close friends feeling loved... I walked in overworked and overwhelmed, and I walked out with all the time in the world--aware that all of life is art, that each moment is worth experiencing to the fullest... and writing about. I walked in a failure in life and I walked out...feeling connected to humanity, to this universe, and to God.  I put a lot in, I got a lot out, and the timing was downright synchronistic.  Thank you Kamala.  Thank you Artist's Way. Lori Willamson AKA Sathyavani Devi (Writer and Mother)

Crashing down into a rainstorm

HEY HONEY...

Have you ever felt like a plastic Honey bear?  You know the ones you have to turn upside down and squeeze to get a gooey drizzle into your breakfast tea or toast?

Except, instead of honey, maybe you’ve got a book, poem, song, painting  or other ideas lodged in your head?  And they’re stuck there. If only you knew how to (metaphorically) turn upside down and be squeezed, you might flow creativity through your whole life. Well, the Artist’s Way is a courageous 12 week journey into the bears head!
