Unpublished authors welcome!
Our editorial objective is to inspire people on the spiritual path by collecting actual accounts of sacred sexual experiences. We are currently seeking non-fiction essays and articles which reflect real personal experiences relating to sexuality and/or spirituality. For submission details scroll down.
Who can submit?
This is a great opportunity for spiritual seekers, healers, tantrikas, writers artists or anyone who is willing to share their expereinces with a larger audience by being published. We're eager to work with Tantra beginners as well as veterans who are both published and unpublished. No experience is necessary. The following guidelines will give you an overview of our policies. If you have any questions, please email us.
Subject:
Subject matter must be related to spirituality and/or sexuality. Since Tantra is not all about sex, neither is True Tantra Stories. Further, our definition of sexuality is not limited to sex between a man and a woman. Examples include (but are not limited to): blind dates, break-ups, celebacy, conversation, first glances, group sex, meditation, masturbation, pujas, play parties, oil experiences, visions or visitations etc.
Style:
We are looking for pieces that are well written, tight, entertaining and easy to read. We will accept poetry, prose or personal narrative, we have a strong preference for personal narrative with a friendly, casual tone. We want readers to feel as though you are sharing your story over a cup of tea, rather than just providing information. We are looking for writing that is filled with vivid images created by using the five senses. Submissions should have a beginning, middle and a closing which creates emotion rather than just talking about a lesson. We are very selective about poetry. We are not looking for editorials, theory, fiction, or fantasy. We will only publish selected submissions. A sense of humor is encouraged.
Submission Details:
Articles should be under 3,000 words, but exceptions will be made for excellence and excitement. Average size for acceptable pieces is between 1 and 10 pages. Pictures and artwork relevant to the story are greatly appreciated and requested but are not necessary. You must own all the materials which you submit, and they must be true. All submissions will be peer-reviewed. Zendow Press will have no obligation to publish any materials you submit.
Submission Deadline is Sept. 1st, 2007
